Earlier, he was scheduled to perform as a part of an event organised jointly on November 17-18 by Spicmacay and AAI, which pulled out of the event allegedly after getting trolled for inviting him to sing
New Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday announced that Carnatic singer T.M Krishna would perform in the Capital on November 17 at 6. 30 pm.
The venue for the concert would be the Garden of Five Senses in Saket, which is run by Delhi Tourism, Mr. Sisodia said.
Earlier, Mr. Krishna was scheduled to perform at Nehru Park as a part of a concert organised jointly by Airports Authority of India and Spicmacay. The AAI pulled out of the event allegedly after getting trolled for inviting Mr. Krishna to sing.
“AAI developed cold feet and feared that there will be protests at Nehru Park in Delhi because Krishna was to perform and bailed out of the event though the official reason given is the exigencies of AAI’s workload,” a Spicmacay official told The Hindu on Thursday.
After the event scheduled for November 17-18 was put off, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government contacted Mr. Krishna offering to host his concert.
